Financial Services Career Fair

The Financial Services Career Fair gives you the opportunity to network directly with leading financial services companies offering career and internship positions.  Students and alumni from all majors in the College of Business are encouraged to attend. The Career Fair is not open to the public. Professional business attire is required. Students may also apply for interviews with participating companies through Hire-A-Niner.

    Annual iSeeCars Future Entrepreneurs Scholarship

    Annual iSeeCars Future Entrepreneurs Scholarship
    This $1,000 essay scholarship is open to students who have an interest in entrepreneurship. It was established to help inspire and support the next generation of business owners.

    Entering freshman, undergraduate and graduate students in all majors, currently enrolled full-time at an accredited 4-year U.S. college are encouraged to apply. The award amount will be sent directly to the financial aid office at the winner’s college. Deadline: 12/31/2016

    Curious about Internships for Academic Credit? Attend an info session!

    Belk College Students:
    Are you planning to do an internship this upcoming Spring? There are ​several​ opportunities this semester to learn how to apply for academic credit.  Click HERE to sign-up for an info session.  All applications for Spring must be completed by January 1, 2017.
    · Junior or Senior in "good academic" standing {minimum 2.0 GPA}
    · Must be a Declared Upper-Level Business Major

    Appointment Types for the Academic and Career Coaching Office

    Need to meet with your Academic and Career Coach but aren't sure if you need to make an appointment?


    The Belk College of Business Center for Academic and Career Coaching offers THREE types of appointments to meet your needs:

      An appointment with an Academic and Career Coach

      • 30-minute appointments with an Academic and Career Coach to discuss any kind of question, including, but not limited to:
        • Graduation plans or checks
        • Long-term scheduling recommendations
        • Major/minor exploratory conversations
        • Career exploratory conversations
        • Career planning
        • Career readiness
        • Planning for study abroad
      • Coaches offer a variety of appointment times each week on Starfish.
      • During peak-times (Add/Drop Week or Registration Week) appointments will only be 20 minutes long and will be limited to academic-focused questions.

      Walk-In Advising

      • Quick meeting with an Academic and Career Coach for 10 minutes or less about:
        • Clarification on forms & policies
        • Quick-reference information
        • Declaring a major/concentration/minor
        • Brief questions about scheduling and curriculum requirements
      • Any other questions REQUIRE a full-appointment and you will be turned away.
      • Hours are posted weekly on the website.

        Meetings with Peer Advisors

        Need Advising help but can’t find a time to meet with an Advisor? Make an appointment with a Peer Advisor using the following simple steps.

        • The Peer Advising Office is located in the Friday building room 387 Lab (3rd floor, just past the advising center on the left.) Peer Advisors are in the office and available to meet on:
          • Monday: 9am- 12pm|1pm-3pm|4pm-5pm
          • Tuesday: 8am-10am|1pm-5pm
          • Wednesday: 8am-11am|2pm-3pm
          • Thursday: 8am-10am|1pm-5pm
          • Friday: 12pm-3pm

        • August 29, 2016  -  Last day to register, add, drop with no grade via the web 11:59 pm (New deadline as approved by Faculty Council)
        • August 29, 2016  -  Last day to submit grade replacement request 11:59 pm Policy Info
        • September 2, 2016  -  Census Date for Fall Enrollment 
        • September 19, 2016  -  Deadline for all students to apply for December 2016 graduation 11:59 pm
        • October 25, 2016  -  Last day to withdraw from course (s); grade subject to Withdrawal Policy 11:59 pm
