Spring 2016 Freshman Group Advising
UNC Charlotte places an advising hold on all students records with 29 or less earned hours. To have your hold removed and to be eligible to register for Summer/Fall classes on time, Belk College of Business students must participate in Freshman Group Advising.
Students who are enrolled in BUSN 1101 for the Spring semester will have an advising staff member visit their class on March 1st or 2nd. That will serve as your Freshman Group Advising Session and your hold will be removed. Be sure to come to class on that day!
Students who are NOT enrolled in BUSN 1101 for the Spring semester must sign up to attend a Freshman Group Advising Session offered March 3rd - March 18th. An email from Ms. Sigmon will go out on February 25th asking you to sign up. Be on the lookout for this email! Act fast and record your session time as seats will be limited. After attending a session of your choice, your advising hold will be removed.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

2016-2017 Belk College of Business Scholarship Applications - Deadline March 1
Each year, the Belk College of Business is pleased to award scholarships to a number of our undergraduate students. To make these awards, the college reviews undergraduate student scholarship applications on an annual basis. Applications are currently being accepted, and will continue to be accepted through March 1, for awards to be made for the 2016-2017 academic year.
New for this year, applications for Belk College of Business awards, and for many other awards offered University wide, are being processed through Niner Scholars – the UNC Charlotte Scholarship Portal. On the Portal site, students can search the scholarship database by major, class, or other scholarship criteria. Once a student logs in to the site, the Portal will match the student to scholarship opportunities for which the student may be eligible. All students are encouraged to access the system and to apply for scholarships through this single-application, centralized system.
Please note that some Belk College of Business scholarships require a particular, declared upper-level major. If you are eligible to declare your major but have not yet done so, you should complete the process to declare your major in order to increase your scholarship eligibility. For additional information about declaring your major, please visit: http://belkcollege.uncc.edu/programs/undergraduate-programs/academic-advising/forms
Please visit the Niner Scholars Portal to apply for 2016-2017 scholarship awards.
