What comes next? Join us to hear from 4 recent alumni!

The first Lunch & Learn event of 2021 is Business Niners on the Move, and will feature 4 alumni who are 5 years or fewer removed from their time in the Belk College of Business. Please join us to hear their journey and ask questions you have!

Are you a new first-year or transfer student and are interested in professional development support? The Peer Guide Mentorship Program is accepting applications for the Spring 2021 semester.

The Peer Guides provide individual professional development support to students by discussing career resources and sharing their own experiences with navigating internships, career exploration, networking, and getting involved on campus. Participants will discuss and explore professional development topics with an assigned Peer Guide Mentor. The program is a one-semester commitment and is individually designed to support students -- space is limited. Any Belk College of Business student who is interested in receiving individual professional development support can apply but priority is granted to new students from underrepresented backgrounds (students of color, low socioeconomic status, and/or first-generation) or students who otherwise may not have a professional support structure. Participants are expected to meet with their mentor twice per month throughout the semester.

Graduating this Semester? Double Check!

It is up to YOU to double check your currently registered courses and ensure you are good for Spring graduation.

We recommend you do the following now, during the first week of class, and on January 27th (add/drop date) to ensure you are good to go! You should also re-check if you adjust your schedule.

  • You should see NO RED in Degree Works and the degree progress toolbar will be at 98%. It doesn't go to 100% until all grades are in. If you plan to graduate and see RED or 99% or 97% or below-- contact your Academic and Career Coach immediately as you will not graduate without changes.
    • IF a missing course involves a major or minor outside of the BCOB, contact that advisor!
  • Apply for graduation! The deadline is February 24th but applying now ensures you get relevant information as quickly as possible. All graduation information is found on the website and our office does not have any further information or details.
