We are excited to invite you to the 2nd Annual Professional Skills Night hosted by UNC Charlotte Enactus. The event is on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 6:00pm - 8:15pm in the SAC Salons. The dress code is Business Professional.

You will have the opportunity to attend two different professional workshops. Each workshop is geared towards helping you succeed in a professional setting with a focus on both soft skills and technical skills. 
  • The Interview Prep Shop: Learn six essential skills to succeed in any interview.
  • Dare to Excel: Get a lesson in unique Microsoft Excel skills to separate yourself from the competition.
  • Visualize the Future with Tableau: Learn how Tableau is changing the workplace and what can you do to be ahead.
Regardless of your major and industry, interview and data visualization are key!  We hope to host a wide variety of majors and classes during this workshop and have the opportunity to learn from each other, as well as from business professionals in Charlotte.

Accounting Forum and Career Fair- April 6th



Belk College of Business current students are invited to a Career Connection College Forum for Diversity in Accounting! The event will feature experienced leaders in the accounting, audit and tax profession, as well as a career fair that will give students an opportunity to learn about internship and entry-level career opportunities with local employers. Also, breakfast and snacks are included!

  • Check the Withdrawal Deadline on the Academic Calendar.
  • Consider your options and check the FAQs.
  • Students are only allowed to withdraw from a maximum of 16 hours.
    • WE’s do not count in total.
  • Withdraw by accessing your Add/Drop/Withdraw worksheet on Banner Self Service.
    • Use the drop-down menu for the course and select "Withdraw". Finalize by hitting "Submit".
    • If you have a hold on your account, you may need to meet with your Academic and Career Coach first.

Peer Advisor Application is NOW LIVE!

The Belk College of Business Niblock Student Center is currently accepting applications for the Peer Advising Program! Trained Peer Advisors will work alongside the Belk College of Business Academic and Career Coaches to assist Pre-Business students with their academic needs. Advisors will be equipped to help students answer the academic and social questions common in the Pre-Business curriculum.
The Academic and Career Coaching Center is currently looking for qualified applicants that will serve as great leaders in the peer advising role. In order to be eligible for this position you must be a rising junior or senior, a full time student in the Belk College of Business pursuing their first undergraduate degree and have at least a 3.0 GPA. This will be a paid position, with flexible hours, and is a great resume builder!

"Join Career Center staff for a Career Trek to Electrolux on Friday, March 16 from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm.

Electrolux is a leading global appliance company, whose North American headquarters is here in Charlotte, NC! Participants will receive an overview of Electrolux and its exciting internship opportunities, meet with current employers and interns to learn about their experiences, and tour the facilities. Students will also participate in a supply chain process simulation and enjoy a networking luncheon.

Business casual attire is required. Transportation will be provided, and additional information will be sent upon registration. The total time commitment for this Trek will be from 10:10 am – 1:50 pm.

Technology in Business Schools Roundtable Innovation Awards for Students


The Technology in Business Schools Roundtable (TBSr) is again sponsoring our annual “Innovation Awards for Students”.  We offer up to five awards and a total prize pool of up to $5000.  Award amounts will be based on merit.

Who can apply? Any College of Business student (or group of students) from a TBSr member institution is eligible to apply for the scholarship.

To apply for the scholarship, students could submit any one of the following:
·       A traditional paper
·       An audio-visual presentation
·       A video recording

The topic of the submission should focus on the technological innovations and changes that will shape the world of the future.  Students are encouraged to pursue innovative and entertaining formats to demonstrate their points using any sort of media they choose. Winners will be expected to present their winning submission at this year’s TBSr Annual Meeting, preferably in person or through video-conference.  This year’s annual meeting is at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, from July 9th-12th.

Submission Deadline: 
This year we are requesting that you submit an abstract of your idea using this Qualtrics survey (https://tbsr.2018studentawards) before April 08, 2018. Abstracts will be reviewed as they are received, with the final review being completed by April 15th.  If your abstract is selected you can then complete your presentation and move to the award round.
