Do You Need to Repeat a Course?

Belk College of Business students must complete all business courses with a minimum grade of "C" within two attempts.

Did you fail your first attempt?

  • If you earn a "D" in a business course, you will need to retake it for a better grade. You need to fill out a Repeat Authorization Form. After it is processed, you will be notified and can sign up for the course for a second attempt.

  • If you earn an "F" in a business course, you can sign up for the course for a second attempt with no additional action.

Are you interested in using one of your two Grade Replacements when you repeat the course?

  • See our previous post about how to use a Grade Replacement HERE.

Did you fail your second attempt?

  • You will not be able to pursue a business major that requires that course. Meet with your Academic and Career Coach to discuss your options.

Volunteer Opportunity

Belk College Students-please see the call for volunteers copied below.  If you have any questions or are interested please contact Josh Geyer at: jgeyer31@gmail.com.

My name is Josh Geyer and I am the program director for Inspiring Athletes & Academics (IAA). IAA provides free tutoring, career development, and athletic training to at-risk youth in the Charlotte area. We have created a summer “Entrepreneurship Program” to help our at-risk youth develop entrepreneurial ideas and to provide steps to take in the entrepreneurial journey.

I was inquiring to see if you had a students who would like to volunteer and teach the students the basics of entrepreneurship. The youth will come up with one business idea and by the end of the summer launch the business. I would like students to talk to the youth about writing a basic business plan, marketing, money management, etc…

There are many studies that suggest that the environment you grow up in effects who you become. We would like to create an environment that encourages and nurtures entrepreneurship. As in all of our programs, kids are given opportunities for valuable experiences to hopefully shape their futures

If you have any students who are interested? Please feel free to have them contact me. Here are the links to our social media pages with a new promotional video on our Facebook page.

Thank you for your time,

Josh
