On Wednesday, February 27th the Professional Development Team in the Niblock Student Center hosted a Lunch and Learn focused on Careers in Consulting featuring Accenture. Courtney Johnston, Susan Desai, and four other Accenture team members shared an overview of careers in consulting and led participants through a case study representing a real client problem. They also shared key traits that consulting firms are looking for in new, entry-level hires: strong academic performance; motivation and involvement on campus (emphasized); demonstrated interest in consulting; ability to analyze problems and present creative solutions; and excellence in leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
If you are considering a career in consulting, there is a new Management Consulting Club on campus. To learn more about how to get involved, please contact the club president, Joshua Harper - jharpe35@uncc.edu.
