Let's talk about INTERNSHIPS!

Are you still wondering what you’re going to do with your summer? Are you ready to get a head start on your career?
The Belk College of Business offers internship for credit for students who have:
·         Reached a junior or senior standing and have declared a major
·         At least a 2.0 GPA
·         Met the pre-requisite requirements for their major
Why would you take an internship for credit?
·         Through the class, you will receive guidance from not only your supervisor but also will have faculty support within the classroom to assist with difficult workplace situations, general questions, etc. Who doesn’t want another layer of support?
·         Within the discussions of the class, you will learn about what your classmates might be doing in their internship, so if your internship ends up being a career that isn’t for you, you will have many other ideas!
·         Internships are usually more successful when expectations are clear, employers actively participate, interns keep a journal, and interns have some mentorship—all which can be achieved through the class!
For more information, attend an information session April 18th at 12:30pm or April 26th at 12:30pm in the Niblock Student Center flex space. You can register via the hyperlinks above.
