Learn More About Creative Mornings CLT

By Sarah Haley Sarah.Haley@uncc.edu

On Friday, August 3, Meagan Glasco, Sarah Haley, and Kimberly Lawrence from the Niblock Student Center attended Creative Mornings. Creative Mornings CLT is a part of a larger global initiative to bring a diverse group of people together to talk monthly about a particular topic. Every Creative Mornings CLT event starts with open networking, which is a great way for the Niblock Student Center staff to make connections with people in the community that may have an opportunity for our students. For example, there were FIVE marketing internships that came out of connections from Creative Mornings CLT just this past March.

The global theme for August is Community. Creative Mornings CLT invited Andrew Au to speak on the topic and discuss his own experiences. He charged the audience with thinking about how their engagement with a community can create opportunity for those around them.

As a student, you have a community too! It might be on campus, at your job or internship, or even online. How are your interactions on campus and in your own community lifting up those around you and creating opportunity for others?

Creative Mornings is a free event held once a month on Friday mornings in Charlotte. To find out more information about the next Creative Mornings CLT event, visit  https://creativemornings.com/cities/clt. Follow them on Instagram at @cm_clt.
