Student Product Innovation Competition

Innovate Carolina has teamed up with Wells Fargo to offer $2500 in prizes to the first and second place teams in both the Graduate and Undergraduate divisions of their annual Student Competition.

There is basic judging criteria, but the problem and innovative solution is up to the teams themselves. They are open to any innovation, not just technical or product centric, including educational, learning, teaching, social, etc. Each will be judged according to its own merit and scored independently. Once complete, the scores will be tabulated and they'll choose the winners.

Key dates to remember:

• Intent to submit: April 11, 2016, EOD

• Final Submission: April 20, 2016, Midnight

• Judging and Announcements: April 29, 2016, at the conference

All students and their faculty advisors are welcome to attend the conference at no cost. Student teams are welcome to set up a poster display att he conference and speak to any of the more than 200 expected attendees regarding their inventions and approach. As a bonus, they will receive guest coaching from a Charlotte area firm regarding the commercialization of their product!

The conference will take place at UNC Charlotte Center City campus on April 29, 2016.
