Summer School at UNC Charlotte

Need to get your 30 hours to be eligible for Accounting and Economics? Did you withdraw from a class and are short hours to stay on a four year plan? Want to graduate early or lighten your load for next semester? These are all greats reasons for students to enroll in courses this summer at UNC Charlotte.

Pro's of taking summer courses at UNC Charlotte:
  • Counts in your UNC Charlotte GPA
  • Requires no separate application-- register as you would for Fall and Spring courses
  • Smaller Class Sizes
  • Focus on one or two classes at a time
  • Many online offerings that allow you to be enrolled while not in Charlotte
  • Allows you to register for Fall courses while being enrolled in the pre-requisites for Summer
    • Example: Register for ACCT 2121 this summer, eligible to register for ACCT 2122 for Fall
Things to consider:
  • Summer School at UNCC is divided into two parts: Summer Session 1 and Summer Session II. See the Academic Calendar for specific dates. Each session is approximately six weeks and classes could meet every day. Check the schedule of classes for availability.
